I have decided to purchase a Dyson Animal Purple Vacuum. I have read a lot of great reviews about them. And with my two long haired dog plus a cat I feel like I would be really happy with it. I am now trying to decide between the four different Dyson animal vacs out there. What are the differences? Which is the best? I have pets, stairs, toddlers, medium carpet, and tile. Attachments are good. And my carpeted areas are pretty small, so it would have to be able to turn sharply. Please only answer if you know something about these vaccuums. hanks!

I have three indoor dogs, and lots of tight spots. I have the Dyson Ball!!! It is fantastic. There is no space you can't get into, picks up all dog hair and anything else with ease! It also has a long hose that extends from the handle so you can do stairs, behind furniture, etc. without bending over. It truly is the most amazing vacuum I have ever seen!

I'd agree on on the DC17. There are plenty used and refurb's you can get your hands on without breaking the bank. Check the link in my sig and you might get some ideas of what they are selling for.

I also agree on the DC17. We have been using the Animal Cyclone for over a year in our home. It removes everything from our carpets which is a lot considering we have a long haired cat and golden retriever. It's a great vacuum cleaner.
