I am wondering how the mini turbine fits onto the dyson vacuum animal model. It appears that it needs to 'click' into something. The only place we can think of is directly on the hose and we have to use too much force (I can barely do it) and we do not want to wreck it. We looked through the manual and can't seem to find it. Please help.

The turbine should either fit on the end of the wand by friction or if you remove the wand it will click into the end of the hose. Normally it's and easy fit, if yours isn't I'd suspect a bad hose end.

I had this same problem and i called dyson - they said that the mini turbine was made for all models - some will click in, but on my DC-17it doesn't and and has to be pushed on. I think this was a poor choice on dyson's part considering that I shelled out 450 $ on a vacuum that I have to "hold an attachment " on.

The tech support said make "sure you re- adjust" it , in other words keep pushing it back on the hose. Thats poor.
