I am trying to find a LIGHT weight, cordless (plugs into the wall to charge) vacuum cleaner. Our house is mainly tile and the broom is killing my back! ha... The regular vacuum doesn't pick up the little tiny particles, even on the "bare floor" mode...I was thinking some sort of Dirt Devil? We live near the beach so there's always sand, looking for something that will really suck it all up good! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Well, I was going to suggest a Kirby with the bare floor pad, but they're about 20-30 pounds. The bare floor pad has two felt pads on it that catch dust and pet hair (trust me, it really picks up the cat hair!), and there shouldn't be too much work in pushing it if the height is set right.

As far as cordless, I can't think of any, but hopefully my post will be at least a small bit of help to you.

I don't know of many cordless vacuum cleaners that will have the power you will need to suck up all the sand from the beach. I would recommend the Aerus Lux Legacy canister with the hard floor and tile brush. This floor brush has air slots in the front for max air flow. The weight of the canister is only 12.5 pounds.
