The Radiance line of machines is great overall. They have a twin- motor system, one motor pushes air and the other pulls air. They have lots of features including a lifetime-belt, manual height adjustment, carpet/solid surface cleaning, a bag-full light and the machine will turn off the brushes if anything gets caught in them to prevent damage to the lifetime belt and motor. if you are considering a riccar radiance, and you or anyone in your home has allergies, i would purchase the radiance model that has a sealed HEPA system. a sealed HEPA system, will trap 100% of fine particles in the bag where they belong.

the person who stated their aunt found out that some dust leaks back out is called the riccar brilliance, which has either a 5 or 7 layer filtration system, the radiance has a sealed HEPA system. it also has the tandem dual motor system like the radiance, but is much less expensive.

also, you can get the radiance or brilliance with or without onboard attachments.
