Thermal protection is located on the motor. It is there to shut off the motor when it overheats to prevent the motor from burning out and prevent a fire. If you remove the thermal protection you will burn out the motor. It is something you cant fix. Your motor may be coverd in dirt or just a bad motor. Replace the motor.
